Sweater time

Ok, so we’ve only just launched in January, and as of this week we’ve launched the cards with Full Colour Black in the USA… but we’re already cooking up what the next batch of cards will be. For some reason, the sadder we make him (ok, to be honest, the more we torture him) the cuter he gets. An itchy jumper? They sell ‘em… and you often wonder who buys them. Lamington does.

Bestseller

So apparently this card is our biggest seller. That’s so sweet. Will he ever get home? Maybe… maybe not. Things didn’t go so well for that Russian dog, still, it’s a nice way to tell someone you love them.

We’ve launched a range of Lamington greeting cards with Full Colour Black. This is a picture from the launch of the range up at the NEC in Birmingham. The cards have been selling through to various gift shops and have been spotted up and down the country… and even at the Barbican Gift Shop. Ooh aren’t we cultured and cool!

What a nice way to start 2011.

Thanks a bunch

The Birth of a Legend?

Aug 16, 2011   //   by James   //   Sketches  //  No Comments

One day James Hutchinson doodled a small sad dog. Several days later David Freedman doodled an oversized energetic chick, who gave the sad dog a hug. The chick felt that Lamington needed a hug… whether he liked it or not.

So… the two guys started doodling more and more and writing some very sad, sweet and silly cartoons.  The sort of things that make you go ‘Ahhhh’.

Then David’s daughter said, ‘I want one.’ and they figured if she wanted one, so did other girls (both young and old).

Lamington ‘The Saddest Dog In The World’ was born.

Hey Lamington

He’s cute. He’s cuddly and he also would rather you not cuddle him. Even though, yes, he could really use a hug. But no thanks. Not now. heylamington.tumblr.com
